*NOTE: As with any journey, paths change. I have released my dreadlocks and writing on GypsyJema into the wind for now and can be found podcasting at Something Like Marriage!
Do you ever have moments where you feel alive?
I never knew what was missing until I left my Minnesota home with my husband and four kids in January of 2011. “The Trip” was planned to last for one year as we left behind an old life in hopes we could reclaim the one we desired.
Travel awakened my soul and our family connections. We went from surviving to thriving.
The RV is a public art project “Inspire to Inspire”.
Living full-time in an RV is an adventure of beautiful places, inspiring people, and diverse communities. The journey of self-discovery has been the most rewarding adventure of all – discovering who I am out of the box I used to live in.
We fund our traveling through my husband’s work as a software developer, and through my travel writing. We have met so many different ways that others have learned how to fund full-time RV travel. Some travel for a year and some travel for decades.
Traveling has provided me with the opportunity to step out of the whirlwind of my old life and to choose how I want to live. This lifestyle has also given me the gift of strengthening relationships with my husband and my children. I finally feel alive.
Welcome to my story, my life.
